If I ask you this simple question, what condition is the world in today, what would your answer be? Without a doubt, most of you would say that the world is in a state of confusion. This should immediately bring to mind Bible prophecy. Remember Babel / Babylon from the book of Genesis? The word Babylon means “confusion”. In Revelation 14 the first angel is followed by the second proclaiming: “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Revelation 14:8.
“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (Revelation 17:4)
“The term “Babylon” is derived from “Babel,” and signifies confusion. It is employed in Scripture to designate the various forms of false or apostate religion. In Revelation 17 Babylon is represented as a woman—a figure which is used in the Bible as the symbol of a church, a virtuous woman representing a pure church, a vile woman an apostate church. – {GC 381.1}
So believe it or not there is a church, an apostate church at the head of this confusion that the world is in. This confusion is is going to get worst and worst until Jesus puts an end to it:
And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure. -Daniel 2:44-45
Today the world is no longer sure what is marriage, the simple definition of marriage was “union between a man and a woman”. Now the “confused” definition is,
“(broadly) any of the diverse forms of interpersonal union established in various parts of the world to form a familial bond that is recognized legally, religiously, or socially, granting the participating partners mutual conjugal rights and responsibilities and including, for example, opposite-sex marriage, same-sex marriage, plural marriage, and arranged marriage…” (Dictionary app)
But what does the Bible say? “But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” Mark 10:6-9
Another related area of confusion is gender identity. Many people are confused, some that were born as males, believe that they are female and some that were born as females believe that they are male. And to complicate matters even more there are those that cannot tell wether they are male or female.
But what does the Bible say? “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth…”(Genesis 1:27-28)
Another area of confusion is law and order, from the Dictionary app the definition of police “Also called police force. an organized civil force for maintaining order, preventing and detecting crime, and enforcing the laws.” And it is the role of the citizens to trust and respect the police force. Today this trust has been broken and if it is broken then “law and order” goes through the door. What is one word for this? Confusion or Babylon.
Now remember the devil (working throughthe apostate church) likes to work both sides of issues he agitates one side then the other to create a crisis, then he brings about a solution (which he had in mind all along) that will be detrimental to both sides.
There is confusion in politics, in the EU, in the judicial system, in the economy, all these bring about perplexity. “… and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.”-Luke 21:25-26
So where is all this confusion coming from, and what will become of it?
And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. (Revelation 16:17-21)
The Roman Catholic Church, with all its ramifications throughout the world, forms one vast organization under the control, and designed to serve the interests, of the papal see. Its millions of communicants, in every country on the globe, are instructed to hold themselves as bound in allegiance to the pope. Whatever their nationality or their government, they are to regard the authority of the church as above all other. Though they may take the oath pledging their loyalty to the state, yet back of this lies the vow of obedience to Rome, absolving them from every pledge inimical to her interests. – {GC 580.2}
History testifies of her artful and persistent efforts to insinuate herself into the affairs of nations; and having gained a foothold, to further her own aims, even at the ruin of princes and people. (GC 580.3)
We are in the end game, Babylon, the great city, a system of total confusion, which is going to lead to riots and bloodshed and anarchy, is almost complete. Her cup is almost full, God is going to put an end to this false system, that counters God’s true system, that holy city which comes down from heaven. “Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.” -Amos 4:12
