Iran, Israel, the US and North Korea, what do they all have in common, war and rumors of war. War talk, coming from nations that are armed with deadly nuclear weapons. At least two of these nations for sure have nuclear weapons (US and North Korea), one most likely has it (Israel) and Iran is said to be pursuing it (maybe already has it). In any case the talk of war and the increase in tensions can lead to mass catastrophe.
The Bible says:
“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars:see that ye be not troubled:for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” (Matthew 24:6-7)
From the book education we read:
The present is a time of overwhelming interest to all living. Rulers and statesmen, men who occupy positions of trust and authority, thinking men and women of all classes, have their attention fixed upon the events taking place about us. They are watching the strained, restless relations that exist among the nations. They observe the intensity that is taking possession of every earthly element, and they recognize that something great and decisive is about to take place—that the world is on the verge of a stupendous crisis. – {Ed 179.5}
From the book last days events we read:
We shall see troubles on all sides. Thousands of ships will be hurled into the depths of the sea. Navies will go down, and human lives will be sacrificed by millions. Fires will break out unexpectedly and no human effort will be able to quench them. The palaces of earth will be swept away in the fury of the flames. Disasters by rail will become more and more frequent. Confusion, collision, and death without a moment’s warning will occur on the great lines of travel. The end is near, probation is closing. Oh, let us seek God while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near!—Messages to Young People, 89, 90 (1890). – {LDE 24.1}
Indeed, “the end is near, probation is closing”, if there is a nuclear war, millions of lives will be sacrificed. It is time to “seek God while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near”, the end of all things is at hand. In the words of Prophet Amos, …prepare to meet thy God, O Israel [Gods people]. (Amos 4:12)
